Fundació CTM Centre Tecnològic (CTM) is a non-profit technological center. CTM aims to efficiently contribute to improving the competitiveness and the technological development ofcompanies by providing specialized services and carrying out R&D and Innovation projects. Itsactivities cover sectors such as Environmental Technology, Materials Technology and Energy. CTMsSustainability Unit aims at contributing to sustainable industrial and community development through the enhancement of environmental quality.The department specializes in water and wastewater treatment, water quality, water reuse, waste management andproduct recovery, covering all strategies defined in EU waste, and contaminated soils andgroundwater directives. In addition, the department also focuses on the improvement of industrial processesthrough applied research and technological innovation as well as Life Cycle Assessment, Life CycleCost Analysis and Environmental Risk Assessments. Energy department capabilities include theimprovement of the efficiency for energy use, integration of renewable sources and electric mobility.



Catalan Cork Institute (ICSuro) is a semi-public partnership. It was created by the Catalan Government in 1991. ICSuro is formed by Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Food (whose Minister the President of the institute), Ministry of Business and Knowledge, Association of Catalan Cork Companies (AECORK), Forest Consortium of Catalonia (CFC), Chamber of Commerce of Girona, Local government of Palafrugell and Cassà de la Selva, University of Girona (UdG), European Network of Cork-producing Territories, Forest Sciences Centre of Catalonia.

Since it was created, the essential aim of the Institute is to promote and develop the cork sector in its various aspects of production, transformation and commercialization through study, research, assessment and help to its members, associations, companies and people involved in the sector.

Cork Center Laboratory was born in 2001 and it became an international center of reference due to its services to the cork, winery and food industry. The laboratory has the latest equipment thus it is able to make the most precision assays.



INNOVI represents the cluster of wine sector in Catalunya and it is a non-profit organization registered as AEI (Association of Innovative Enterprises) of the Ministry of Industry and certified cluster in the Catalonia Clusters program from Catalan Government.

The mission of INNOVI is to promote the competitiveness of companies in the Catalan wine sector and auxiliary sector, in order to face globalization favorably through innovation.

INNOVI vision is the consolidation of the wine region of Catalonia as a benchmark in innovation and overall quality.
The Catalan Wine Cluster was born in 2009 with the mission of consolidating the wine region of Catalonia as a benchmark in innovation and overall quality. The main objective of INNOVI is to promote the competitiveness of all entities involved in the Catalan wine sector, through collaboration and innovation.



El Grupo TYPSA és un conjunt d’empreses de consultoria en els camps de l’enginyeria civil, arquitectura, indústria i energia, i medi ambient. En l’àrea de la R+D+i, TYPSA posseeix una àmplia carrera en projectes innovadors relacionats, principalment, amb l’optimització de recursos i reducció d’impactes (URWASTECH, RESALTTECH, REMEMBRANE, RELEACH, REAGRITECH y GRAVI3, entre d’altres).



The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) is the institution with more strategic research projects funded by the European Union’s Seventh Framework Program than any other Spanish university. Today, the University is characterized by an open stance towards international students, a wide selection of master’s degree programs in English, participation in the European Institute of Innovation and Technology and various international research and cooperative programs.

The Research Institute in Sustainability Science and Technology (IS.UPC) is a basic unit of the UPC that carries out postgraduate education (MSc and Doctorate) and research on sustainability in different academics fields (water, construction and territory, energy, higher education, sustainable production and consumption). Its mission is to generate technical and conceptual tools to promote a more sustainable production model, in collaboration with UPC. The UNESCO Chair on Sustainability is an independent and interdisciplinary unit at the UPC that promotes the creation of complementary networking with the IS.UPC and other units, in a scheme of multi-network that strengthens the capacities of individual groups, working in the analysis and applied projects. The AquaSost Reseach Group from the UNESCO Chair on Sustainability is actively working during the last 20 years on sustainable water management, in different scales, including lab and field demonstrative projects at watershed scale.
